Meet Reneé
Creative . Functional . Design.
CREATIVE: Design should be expressive and unique to the individual. If you want your environment be soothing and relaxing, bright and energizing, elegant, classic, eclectic, or just comfortable and laid back – whatever – it’s your space and it should look and feel like you. Sometimes all you need is a creative “twist” to bring your taste and style together.
FUNCTIONAL: The first rule of design is “Form follows function”. I learned this in Architectural History Class at Converse College and it has stuck with me. It really doesn’t matter how pretty something looks if it doesn’t work well. Your space should function in the way that allows you to be your best.
DESIGN: By working with a team of great contractors, your newly designed space can become a reality. When I started my career, I had the privilege of working with talented mentors. One of these, Jim Warner, a well respected Atlanta architect offered the best advice:
“Designers and architects only draw, it takes a talented contractor to bring your vision to reality. The contractor is either your best friend or worst enemy.” - Jim Warner
Biography
Many are open to the idea of hiring an Interior Designer but are concerned about the additional costs for the service on top of what is needed to complete the project. Reneé Jones Interiors, Inc. offers different types of services so clients can choose what works best for them. Each client’s budget is always approved before work begins.
Reneé graduated from Converse College with a B.F.A. degree in Interior Design. She worked for architectural/design companies specializing in corporate, commercial, and medical design before starting her own medical design business in 1993 during which time she kept her NCIDQ certification current. Fast growth created success, but a fast-growing family had its demands as well. Reneé closed her company in 1997 but kept a few select clients with whom she continues to work.
Over the years, former clients would ask Reneé to help them in their homes and in 2013 with a new passion for residential design, Reneé jumped back in the design field full force. Since 2021 Reneé has received seven awards with two contractor partners including Chrysalis and NARI CotY at regional and national levels. NARI has invited Reneé to be a judge of CotY awards for three NARI chapters. Her current business is a mix of both residential and commercial clients and continues to grow not only in the Atlanta area, but throughout the state of Georgia and the southeast. Reneé works with both private clients and select contractors and is a active member of NARI.
Giving Back
As someone who has raised a family and lived in the same community for over thirty three years, serving in and giving to my community is very important to me. When my kids were growing up, I served as an active volunteer in their school system and whatever sports and activities in which they were involved. As an empty nester, I have been serving in the preschool ministry of Buford Women’s Bible Study since 2014. The following are organizations I choose to support through tithes, gifts, and service.
Reneé Gives to:
Futures Church Gwinnett - Our heart as a church is to see people know Jesus Christ, connect with others and live a life filled with love, purpose, and hope.
Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) Buford Women’s Group – an international Bible Study where I’ve been a member since 2009 and in Leader’s Group as a children’s leader since 2014.
